Kari Samantha Wuhrer (born on April 28th, 1967) is an American actor and a singer. The career of Wuhrer began when she was still in her teens. Her most notable roles include Maggie Beckett, an actress in the film Sliders as well as her character Sheriff Samantha Parker from the horror comedy Eight Legged Freaks. Wuhrer is the daughter of Karin Noble (nee Noble) and is an accountant for payroll and German American Andrew Wuhrer (a car dealer and police officer). The youngest of three siblings. As a teenager, she was a singer performing in clubs and hid from home for the sake of performing. After studying acting at the Wooster School, at the age of 13, she studied drama in the New York University's Tisch School of the Arts at Marymount Manhattan College and Columbia University. Then, she took classes in the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts under the famed Uta Hagen. She is born a Brookfield local was born in Brookfield Connecticut on the 28th of April 1967. Her German-American father is an auto dealer as well as a police agent. Kari is the youngest of three siblings. Kari was a nightclub singer when she was in her teens. She would sneak out at night to sing and entertain her friends. When she was 13 years old, Kari studied acting at the Wooster School, then enrolled in drama studies at the Tisch School of the Arts in New York University, Columbia University, Marymount Manhattan College; plus, the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art along with the renowned professor Uta Hagen. Kari began acting when she was still in the teen years. Kari got her first big appearance on MTV Remote Control in 1987.
